Moving on up

Well its been awhile since I have blogged here, some updates.

Summer was great, I got a job on staff working for Gov. Bill Richardson, and I was an intern for the Draft Shaheen campaign. They both went very well, Gov. Richardson is neck and neck with Fmr. Sen. Edwards in NH, and Jeanne Shaheen is running for Senate, all is good.

Working on two campaigns gave me a real inside perspective on how politics in NH really work, sorry can't divulge the super secret strategy memos, you can read them in my memoirs some day in the far but not so distant future.

I hope everyone watched the Democratic Debate last month at Dartmouth, I was working at the Dartmouth Watch Party with over 1,500 Dartmouth students, and it was quite the event. All the candidates came afterwards and spoke to the crowd. It was fun to see the acapella group from Tufts University come and sing for the Gov. as he took the stage, he gave an amazing speech that engaged the crowd after a strong debate performance, being the only candidate that pledged to bring the troops home in 6-8 Months, and not leave tens of thousands of troops in Iraq till 2013, unlike some people.

As for my job for the Gov. it has changed, I am going to be a Regional Field Organizer for the area around Franklin Pierce, going to be exciting, challenging, and fun, be on the look out for future Gov. appearances in NH in my area, perhaps at a place we all have been too!

Start the countdown to the Caucus! Iowa or Bust!
